Ready to get your hands muddy and spin your creativity into motion? This 6-week beginner-friendly pottery course is your perfect introduction to the potter’s wheel. Located in Hollywood, Florida, this guided program will teach you how to center clay, shape bowls and mugs, trim, and glaze your very own ceramic creations.

Each weekly session offers two hours of personalized instruction, followed by optional open studio hours during the week to refine your skills. You’ll start with a fresh bag of clay and finish with finished pottery pieces you can proudly use or gift. Whether you're looking for a new hobby or building your foundation in ceramics, this course is a creative and relaxing way to explore the world of clay.

WEEKLY WELCOME & SETUP
Each session begins with a short recap and demonstration of techniques. You’ll get comfortable at your wheel and prepare your workstation.

HANDS-ON THROWING PRACTICE
Guided by your instructor, you’ll practice centering, pulling walls, and shaping forms like cups, bowls, and plates. Each week builds on the last.

LEARN, TRIM & REFINE
In later sessions, you’ll trim your pots and refine your shapes, learning how to make each piece clean, functional, and well-balanced.

GLAZING & FINISHING
During the final classes, you’ll explore glaze application and finish your best pieces to be fired in the kiln.

STUDIO ACCESS
You’ll also have access to open studio time between classes to continue practicing and perfecting your techniques.

This experience does not have a physical location and can be attended online.
