Escape the city for a day of serene mountain lake canoeing followed by a refreshing stop at one of the Catskills' renowned craft breweries. This gentle adventure offers the perfect balance of outdoor activity and relaxation, making it ideal for beginners and experienced paddlers alike. Launch from an easily accessible point and glide across calm waters surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the Catskills. In the right conditions, you'll even paddle upstream into a secluded forest area, experiencing the tranquility that only a mountain lake can provide, far from the noise and pace of city life.
No previous paddling experience is necessary, as our expert New York State licensed guides provide comprehensive instruction to ensure your comfort and safety on the water. Brown trout thrive in these waters, so fishing enthusiasts can try their luck with optional fishing instruction available at no extra cost—no gear required! After working up a thirst on the water, you'll visit one of the region's exceptional craft breweries where you can sample locally-made beers that reflect the character and ingredients of the Catskills mountains. This day trip offers the quintessential Catskills experience: outdoor adventure in a pristine natural setting, followed by locally-crafted refreshments that capture the spirit of this beautiful region.
