Participants should wear appropriate outdoor clothing suitable for the weather and terrain. Sturdy closed-toe shoes or boots that can handle potentially muddy conditions are strongly recommended. Clothing that can withstand light brush and provides protection from the elements is ideal—water-resistant jackets in spring/fall and multiple warm layers in winter. Children ages 5 and up are welcome, though younger children may participate with assistance. The experience involves walking over varied terrain, so participants should be comfortable with light hiking.

All necessary equipment, including falconry gloves, will be provided. While the birds are trained and accustomed to human interaction, participants should follow all safety instructions from the guides. In case of extreme weather conditions (heavy sustained rain, dangerous snow/ice, or extreme heat/humidity), the experience may be rescheduled. No previous falconry knowledge is required, as the knowledgeable guides will provide complete instruction. Photography is encouraged, but flash photography should be avoided around the birds. A 48-hour notice is requested for cancellations.
