Join others in a shared adventure with the Group Hot Air Balloon Flight offered by Balloons Over Georgia. This unforgettable experience lets you float peacefully above the stunning landscapes of North Georgia, with breathtaking views of rolling hills, forests, and distant mountains.
This communal experience provides an opportunity to meet fellow enthusiasts while enjoying the stunning vistas of North Georgia. It’s a perfect choice for individuals, couples, or small groups looking to create lasting memories in the sky.
Flight Locations
Our flights take place in North Georgia, primarily between Canton and Cumming, about 35-40 miles north of downtown Atlanta. We use a variety of launch sites in this area to make the most of changing wind conditions.
What Can You See?
On clear days, you can enjoy views stretching 40 to 50 miles, including the Atlanta skyline, Stone Mountain, Kennesaw Mountain, and the foothills of the Blue Ridge and Appalachian Mountains. You’ll also see Lake Sidney Lanier, a 30,000-acre man-made lake, one of the largest and most-visited lakes maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. If winds are favorable, we may even fly over the beautiful waters of Lake Lanier.
Meeting Times and Location
We meet about an hour before sunrise or two hours before sunset. If you have questions or special requirements, you can contact the operator directly at the time of booking.
Flight Duration
Flights usually last about an hour but can range from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on weather and landing conditions.
What to Wear
Closed-toe shoes are required—no sandals, flip-flops, or high heels. Dress comfortably for outdoor activity, keeping in mind that temperatures at our flight altitude are similar to those on the ground.
What to Bring
Bring along a camera or camcorder to capture the unforgettable experience.
Flight Altitude
Our altitude varies based on wind speed and direction; we may fly just above the treetops or several thousand feet up.
