A valid New York State fishing license is required for participants ages 16 and older, which can be purchased online from the Department of Environmental Conservation prior to your trip. All fishing equipment is provided, though participants are welcome to bring their own if preferred. This adventure involves minimal hiking (less than 1 mile) with little elevation gain, making it accessible to participants of all fitness levels.
Participants should wear comfortable, breathable clothes suitable for outdoor activity and sturdy footwear (sneakers, trail runners, or hiking boots). Be sure to bring at least 2 liters of water, additional layers for temperature changes, and optional items like a rain shell, hat, and sunglasses. The adventure runs in most weather conditions, but your guide will contact you 7-10 days before your trip with updates on trail conditions and any special considerations.
