Departing from Zeeland, Michigan, this Discovery Flight offers aspiring pilots and aviation enthusiasts the chance to fly under the guidance of a professional, FAA-certified flight instructor.

Your experience begins with a pre-flight briefing, where your instructor will introduce you to the aircraft’s controls, safety procedures, and flight fundamentals. Once in the cockpit, you'll taxi to the runway, take off, and soar into the skies, experiencing firsthand what it’s like to be a pilot. Under expert supervision, you’ll be able to maneuver the aircraft, including turns, climbs, and descents.

Participation Guidelines

Who Can Take Part?

Age: Open to all ages
Height: Participants must be between 5’1” and 6’5” tall
Weight Limits:
- Individual limit: 240 lbs per person
- Flying with a friend? Combined weight cannot exceed 370 lbs
Physical Ability: Participants must be able to enter and exit the aircraft without assistance and take part in the flight lesson

Additional Notes:

Children: Kids are welcome as long as they meet the minimum height requirement of 5’1”
Pets: Unfortunately, pets are not allowed during the experience
Accessibility: The aircraft is not wheelchair accessible

Experience Overview

What Happens on the Day?

Total Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours, including ground instruction and flight time
Flight Lesson Includes: Pre-flight briefing, hands-on flight experience, and post-flight debriefing
Who’s Onboard: Only participants and the FAA-certified instructor will be in the plane
Spectators: Friends and family are welcome to watch from the designated viewing area
Photos/Videos: You’re welcome to bring a camera and capture your experience

Weather: This experience depends on safe flying conditions. If the weather isn’t suitable, your pilot will cancel and reschedule. Safety is always the top priority
Arrival Time: Please arrive at your scheduled time
Location/Parking: Parking is available at in Zeeland, Michigan
What to Wear: Dress for the weather—light clothing for summer, warm layers for winter. Sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended for sunny days
What to Bring: Bring your photo ID, a camera, and sunglasses
Gratuity: Tips for your pilot are not included in the cost of the experience
Restrooms: Facilities are available at the check-in location
