Next, you’ll step into our Redbird Flight Simulator for a 30-minute simulated flight, allowing you to practice maneuvers in a controlled environment before heading to the real aircraft.

Then, it's time for the highlight of your experience—a 30-minute flight in a Cessna 172! With expert guidance from your instructor, you’ll take control of the plane and perform basic flight maneuvers while soaring over Riverside and Lake Mathews.

Participation Guidelines

Who Can Take Part?
Age: Open to all ages.
Height: Participants must be between 5’1” and 6’5” tall.
Weight Limits:

Individual limit: 240 lbs per person
Flying with a friend? Combined weight cannot exceed 370 lbs
Physical Ability: Participants must be able to enter and exit the aircraft without assistance and take part in the flight lesson.

Additional Notes
Children: Kids are welcome as long as they meet the minimum height requirement of 5’1”.
Pets: Unfortunately, pets are not allowed during the experience.
Accessibility: The aircraft is not wheelchair accessible.

Experience Overview

What Happens on the Day?

Total Duration: Approximately 2 hours, including ground instruction, simulator session, and flight time.
Flight Lesson Includes: 15-minute ground instruction, 30-minute Redbird Flight Simulator session, and 30-minute flight lesson in a Cessna 172, timed from engine start to engine stop..
Who’s Onboard: Only participants and the FAA-certified pilot will be in the plane.
Spectators: Up to two participants can take part, provided their combined weight does not exceed 370 lbs. Friends and family are welcome to watch from the designated viewing area.
Photos/Videos: You’re welcome to bring a camera and take photos of your experience.

Weather: This experience depends on safe flying conditions. If the weather isn’t suitable, your pilot will cancel and reschedule. Safety is always the top priority.
Arrival Time: Please arrive at your scheduled time.
Location/Parking: Parking is available at Riverside Airport, where the experience takes place.
What to Wear: Dress for the weather in comfortable clothes. Closed-toe shoes are required, and sunglasses are recommended.
What to Bring: Bring your photo ID, a camera, and sunglasses.
Gratuity: Tips for your pilot are not included in the cost of the experience.
Restrooms: Facilities are available at the check-in location.
