Then, you’ll climb into the cockpit, taxi onto the runway, and take off into the skies over San Jose. Under expert supervision, you’ll get to fly the plane, feeling the thrill of piloting firsthand.

Participation Guidelines

Who Can Take Part?

Age: Open to participants of all ages.
Height: Must be between 5’1” and 6’5”.
Weight Limits:
- Individual limit: 250 lbs per person
- If flying with a friend, combined weight cannot exceed 400 lbs
Physical Ability: Participants must be able to board and exit the aircraft without assistance.

Additional Notes:

Children: Welcome if they meet the minimum height requirement.
Pets: Not permitted in the aircraft.
Accessibility: Aircraft is not wheelchair accessible.

Experience Overview

What Happens on the Day?

Total Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours, including briefing and flight time.
Flight Lesson Includes: Ground instruction, hands-on flying, and post-flight discussion.
Who’s Onboard: Only the participant and FAA-certified instructor.
Spectators: Friends and family can watch from the designated viewing area.
Photos/Videos: You’re welcome to bring a camera to capture the experience.

Location & Parking: Parking is available at Reid-Hillview Airport.
What to Wear: Comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, and sunglasses are recommended.
What to Bring: Photo ID, camera, and sunglasses.
Gratuity: Tips for your instructor are not included but appreciated.
Restrooms: Available at the check-in location.
