Your journey begins with a pre-flight briefing, where your FAA-certified instructor will walk you through the basics of flight, aircraft controls, and safety procedures. Once inside the cockpit, you’ll taxi onto the runway and prepare for takeoff. As you climb into the sky, you’ll have the opportunity to take the controls and try your hand at piloting the aircraft under expert supervision. You’ll practice basic maneuvers such as climbs, turns, and descents, all while enjoying spectacular views of Saratoga Springs and the beautiful Upstate New York landscape.

Once back on the ground, your instructor will go over a post-flight debriefing, answering any questions you may have and discussing potential next steps if you’re interested in continuing your flight training. Participation Guidelines

Who Can Take Part?

Age: Open to all ages.
Height: Participants must be between 5’1” and 6’5” tall.
Weight Limits:
- Individual limit: 240 lbs per person
- Flying with a friend? Combined weight cannot exceed 370 lbs
Physical Ability: Participants must be able to enter and exit the aircraft without assistance and take part in the flight lesson.

Additional Notes

Children: Kids are welcome as long as they meet the minimum height requirement of 5’1”.
Pets: Unfortunately, pets are not allowed during the experience.
Accessibility: The aircraft is not wheelchair accessible.

Experience Overview

What Happens on the Day?

Total Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours, including ground instruction and flight time.
Flight Lesson Includes: Pre-flight briefing, hands-on flight experience, and post-flight debriefing.
Who’s Onboard: Only participants and the FAA-certified instructor will be in the plane.
Spectators: Friends and family are welcome to watch from the designated viewing area.
Photos/Videos: You’re welcome to bring a camera and capture your experience.

Weather: This experience depends on safe flying conditions. If the weather isn’t suitable, your pilot will cancel and reschedule. Safety is always the top priority.
Arrival Time: Please arrive at your scheduled time.
Location/Parking: The experience takes place at Saratoga County Airport, Ballston Spa, NY. Parking is available on-site.
What to Wear: Dress for the weather in comfortable clothes. Closed-toe shoes are required, and sunglasses are recommended.
What to Bring: Bring your photo ID, a camera, and sunglasses.
Gratuity: Tips for your pilot are not included in the cost of the experience.
Restrooms: Facilities are available at the check-in location.
