Using a variety of drawing materials such as graphite pencils and compressed charcoal, you'll draw inspiration from breathtaking surroundings including the trees and landscape of Central Park, life-size sculpture, and incredible interior spaces such as Egyptian Temples. Learn, explore and practice drawing techniques such as composition, shading, depth, line, dimension as you discover your own unique expressive style, using step-by-step techniques.
You'll be amazed at how you gain in confidence and ability, under the one-on-one guidance from your expert instructor and at the end of the day, you'll be able to take home your own incredible drawings as a lasting memento
Tap into your creativity and authentic self-expression through a totally unique art class at the Met. You’ll receive customized one-on-one instruction by expert artists and be guided through every step. Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. All drawing supplies are included. Museum entrance fee is on a donation basis provided by you.

This beginner-friendly class is open to all skill levels and focuses on foundational drawing techniques like shading, composition, depth, and personal expression. Weekly lessons take place within various MET galleries, surrounded by sculptures, paintings, and architectural wonders.
