The NASCAR Racing Experience has some specific age and size requirements. Drivers must hold a valid driver’s license, be under 6’7” and 300 lbs, and be able to climb into the car through the window. Ride-Along passengers must be at least 5 feet tall and weigh over 100 lbs. Each driving experience typically lasts about three hours, covering the driver meeting, training, and actual drive time, though Ride-Alongs require only an hour. Drivers must also pay a $44.99 fee for liability insurance, which includes a souvenir racing license. Reservations are strongly recommended, as space is limited on track days.

Drivers do not necessarily need to know how to drive stick, but informing staff in advance helps ensure preparedness. Participants will drive on asphalt oval tracks that host NASCAR races, with each experience taking place at premier national speedways. Family and friends can observe from designated trackside viewing areas. At the start of the experience, drivers typically check in at the Media Center in the infield, while Ride-Along participants check in near Pit Road.

Top speeds are affected by several factors, including track conditions, weather, the purchased experience, and each driver’s comfort and ability level. Passing slower cars is permitted, and instructors provide guidance to drivers. For comfort, casual attire and closed-toe shoes, like tennis shoes, are recommended beneath the required driving suit. Participants with hearing aids or who don’t speak English are asked to notify the experience team in advance to ensure any necessary accommodations can be made.

The experience aims to build driver confidence with each lap, enabling increased speeds over time. Longer sessions allow drivers to become more comfortable, which can lead to faster speeds. All participants must sign a waiver. If a participant spins out or has a collision, the session may end early for safety reasons. NASCAR Racing Experience requires a minimum 30-day notice for changes to reservations, and weather-related cancellations are eligible for rescheduling.
