Meeting Guide
• Check in at the launch site and meet your friendly, certified kayak guide
• Get fitted with your kayak, paddle, life vest, and helmet
Pre-Tour Orientation
• Receive a safety briefing and paddling instructions suitable for beginners
• Overview of the La Jolla Ecological Reserve, marine life, and the sea caves you'll explore
The Paddle
• Spend approximately 90 minutes on the water paddling to the iconic La Jolla Sea Caves
• Navigate the calm, protected waters with your guide pointing out unique rock formations and sharing fun marine facts
• Pause to observe sea lions, garibaldi fish, leopard sharks (seasonal), and possibly dolphins
• If ocean conditions allow, paddle into select sea caves for a closer look at these geological wonders
Return
• Paddle back to the beach, where staff will assist with landing your kayak
• Wrap up with time to ask your guide any final questions and snap some post-tour photos
