Overview

Curious about scuba but not quite ready to take the full plunge? This Try Scuba experience offers a relaxed, no-pressure introduction to the underwater world. 

You'll learn the basics of scuba gear and get your first chance to breathe underwater in a heated indoor pool. It's the perfect way to test the waters and see if scuba is for you—plus, if you decide to continue your training, the cost of this intro session will be applied to your Open Water Diver course!


  • Class starts at 6:30 PM and runs until 9:00 PM
  • Heated indoor pool for a comfortable first dive
  • No experience required
  • All gear and instruction provided
  • Must be comfortable in the water
  • Participants must be at least 10 years old
  • A medical waiver may be required
  • If you continue to full certification, your intro class fee is credited

Arrival and Check-In
Arrive at our Burnet Road location for a quick check-in and to meet your friendly scuba instructor. You'll be guided through the flow of the evening and what to expect.

Introductory Classroom Session
Settle into a brief classroom session where you'll be introduced to scuba basics, including how the gear works, important safety tips, and breathing techniques.

Gear Fitting and Equipment Orientation
Get hands-on with real scuba gear. Your instructor will walk you through how to properly wear and use the equipment, making sure you're comfortable before entering the water.

Pool Dive and Underwater Breathing
Head into the pool for your first underwater experience! Learn how to breathe with a regulator, float with ease, and practice basic movements in a safe, shallow environment.

Wrap-Up and Next Steps
Debrief with your instructor and discuss your experience. If you’re ready to take the next step, your $85 fee will be applied toward your Open Water Diver certification course.

Our Instructors
All instructors are certified professionals with extensive diving and teaching experience. Your safety and comfort are their top priorities.

Weather and Cancellation

  • Classes take place in an indoor pool and are not weather-dependent
  • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance for a refund or reschedule

Additional Policies

  • Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
  • Late arrivals may not be permitted to join the session
  • No-shows are non-refundable

This experience does not have a physical location and can be attended online.
